Anna Siaredzich at the GamesBeat 2026: AAA Production Isn’t Dying — It’s Restructuring

Anna Siaredzich on the discussion panel at the GamesBeat Summit 2026

GamesBeat Summit 2026 reminded me of something important:

the game industry is not actually slowing down.
It is restructuring itself in real time.

Over the past few days, nearly every serious conversation quietly revolved around the same themes:

1. talent fragmentation
2. external development becoming structural
3. production complexity accelerating faster than teams can scale
4. AI changing execution, but not replacing creative judgment
5. and studios trying to preserve vision across increasingly distributed pipelines.

What stood out to me most was not fear.

It was adaptation.

People are clearly searching for new production models, new collaboration structures, and new ways to preserve quality while the industry itself is transforming underneath them.

One especially interesting discussion focused on the future of game development talent and how the definition of “core teams” may evolve over the next decade.

I increasingly believe the future of AAA production will depend less on sheer company size - and more on:
clarity of vision, senior-level decision making, pipeline communication, and the ability to coordinate highly specialized distributed teams without losing creative continuity.

The studios that solve that problem first may define the next era of game development.

Very grateful for all the conversations, new connections, and perspectives shared throughout the summit.

And honestly - seeing how openly the industry is beginning to discuss these structural shifts gives me a lot of optimism.

GamesBeat Summit was excellent this year. Huge respect to the organizers, speakers, and everyone contributing thoughtful discussions instead of surface-level noise.
